Swarm Mesh

ATOMIC Lab

ATOMIC Lab (Auto-Trajectory Oriented Micro-systems for Intelligent Coordination Lab) focuses on the design of distributed intelligent systems that tightly integrate micro-electronics, wireless networking, sensing, and autonomous robotics.

Our long-term vision is to enable large numbers of constrained devices and robots with varies footprints to sense, communicate, and collaborate intelligently in complex physical environments, advancing the paradigm of the AI-enabled Internet of Micro-Things.

Research Focus

  • Crystal-free and micro-integrated circuit systems
  • Miniature tracking, localization, and embedded intelligence
  • Low-power and time-synchronized wireless networking (TSCH, BLE, LoRa, SLE, HaLow)
  • Large-scale infrastructure-less tracking and localization systems
  • Distributed sensing and multi-sensor fusion
  • Swarm robotics and cooperative intelligence
  • Edge AI Systems and Multi-Agent Intelligence Optimization

Research Philosophy

ATOMIC Lab emphasizes a tightly coupled circuit–system–algorithm co-design approach. We validate our ideas through real hardware prototypes, system-level integration, and experimental deployments rather than simulation alone.

Our work spans from micro-chip design and wireless protocol development to distributed intelligence and robotic coordination.
